Sometimes I sigh to myself, "This child!". It's usually after he's had a tantrum, but sometimes in amusement at something clever or funny he said.
We had stake conference tonight and my aunt Suzanne gave a fabulous talk and said a funny thing about toddlers. She said she and her husband used to joke that the Lord made them 1% more sweet than challenging so we could stand to keep them.
So true! Tom is so exasperating and so adorable at the same time.
Here are some photos of him this week.

This was the best shot we came away with:
He got a sticker book from a friend for his birthday, which he LOVES. At first he asked me to help him peel them off and then after a few days I was pleased to find that he'd entertain himself with it for quite a while. I laughed when I found what he'd been doing with them. There are over 350 in the book, and I'm pretty sure he intends to stack all of them on top of eachother. Whatever makes him happy, right?
We finally got him a helmet for his tricycle. Now I can somewhat relax while I chase him down the sidewalk instead of yelling for him to slow down and trying to grab the back of the bike to keep him from killing himself. He is reckless to say the least, and crashes and tips around corners at high speeds and then cries and does it again. If there is a slope or a hill to be found, he will pull his bike up it so he can ride it down. As my mom would say, "he seeks death". Haha. He's going to give me a heart attack before his third birthday!
haha! That 1% more sweet than challenging thing is so true!
