...that kids under age 2 shouldn't watch tv. But sometimes you just have to get some things done, and this kid loves tv! I might have started a nasty habit.
My friend's pediatrician told her that at that early of an age, it's just interesting shapes and noises and that it's not a huge deal if they're watching it when you are. Just don't turn it into the permanent babysitter, especially since they can't learn words from it like they can from listening to you talk and read to them.
OK, here's the bad mom comment: Creed learns SO MUCH from TV. It started being more of a constant when I was pregnant and EXHAUSTED all the time with number 2--who has energy for a toddler??? Anyway, he speaks way above his age and can tell you all about decay and inclined planes and what certain types of dinosaurs eat (he'll be 3 in November). I try to stick to PBS, but TV is not as evil as they say. You can learn a lot!! Just make sure he gets his play time/Mom time/book time/creative time/etc etc. And that is simply my OPINION, as opposed to the accepted opinions of the medical community. The end.
That boy knows how to relax. He is so cute.
