I know it's not even Halloween, but...

I was copying pictures from my old laptop to our new computer, and came across these treasures. Here's a glimpse at Christmases past in the Hawkins home:

we sleep under this on special occasions. actually just on dec 23, and then some of the young energetic ones set an alarm for who-knows-what-time and race to see who can be the one to put the laaaast ornament on the advent calendar christmas tree.

and the grinch himself even carved the roast beast.

at first little maddie caught me off guard when i took a glance at this picture. such a small person! such light hair! if you could only see her now.

The next time we're all together for Christmas, we'll have a 9-month old little boy to join the party!
Meanwhile, I can't wait for my first holiday stay at the Johnston house in Oregon. It's coming right up, right? I am super excited to see the fam that we haven't seen for way too long and to meet baby Isaac!

But I really am enjoying our fall weather and life until then. Guess I just got a bit excited, that's all. Back to October.
